Rectification of voters list in M.C. Layout

To

Shri Tushar GiriNath , IAS
Chief Commissioner BBMP
N.R Square, Bengaluru,
Karnataka – 560002

Respected Sir,

Sub: Rectification of voters list in M.C. Layout in ward no 104 &105

of Govindarajnagar Assembly constituency - reg

The MC Layout Residents Welfare Trust is a registered trust functioning since 30 years. It has more than 5000members situated in M.C. layout Vijayanagar, Bangalore-40, belonging towardno104 & 105 of Govindrajnagar Assembly constituency.

We were happy to see the newspaper notification regarding the special drive taken out by the BBMP from 21st July to 21st Aug 2023 to rectify the discrepancies found in present voter list in Bengaluru city.

There are a few irregularities noticed in the voters list of our M.C. Layout of ward no104& 105 of Govindarajnagar Assembly constituency namely all the voters of a single family are not being allotted to cast his/her vote in a single polling station. Similarly the voters residing on a single cross road are also not allowed to cast their votes in  single booth instead they have been scattered  among different polling stations located at distant places thereby causing inconvenience and confusions among the voters. and also it is seen  that one cross road voters are send to two different wards to cast their votes.

So to avoid the above irregularities reallotment of voters is to be done systematically in the voters list. To illustrate the error occurred over a period of time, the following table is given to explain in detail.

Further the discrepancies in electoral rolls such as age mismatch, voter’s name spellings should also be corrected along with issuing of voters ID card.

Further the names of the dead persons and also the names of the persons/tenants who have vacated the houses are not yet removed from voters list. This may also be looked into the during the drive.

So once again kindly rectify the above mistakes which might have been taken place in the entire city and do the needful in this regard thereby we may expect a higher percentage of voting also in the Bengaluru city.

Thanking you,

                                                                                                        Yours sincerely

Brand Bengaluru suggestions

The Magadi Chord Extension  Resident’s Welfare Trust (Reg)

1st floor, Shakthi soudha 13th cross MC layout Bengaluru -560040

(Reg number 321 of  1992-93)

To,

Shri D. K. Shivakumar

Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister,

Bengaluru Development, Town planning &

Bengaluru Urban district

Vidhan Soudha Bengaluru,

Karnataka State.

Respected Sir,

Sub: Brand Bengaluru – A few suggestions by M C Layout Residents

                              Welfare Trust (R)

The MC Layout Residents Welfare Trust is a registered trust functioning since 30 years. It has more than 5000 members situated in M.C. layout Vijayanagar, Bangalore-40,  belonging to ward no 104 & 105 of Govindrajnagar Assembly constituency.

We are suggesting the following measures for the development of Bengaluru as a whole and M.C. Layout in particular so that Brand Bengaluru remains forever a Branded city. Bengaluru is an important city in the world and we hope more development activities take place. We thank you for opportunity given to us to express our suggestions.

The following are the points.

(1)    Public grievances may be allowed to make on online. All E-mail address and helplines  numbers right from AE’s of respective ward upto the Commissioner may be displayed on BBMP website. This should be in operation. QR Code concept arosed from Hon’l DCM of Karnataka State Sri D K Shiva Kumarji under Brand Bengaluru to address grievances is highly appreciable.

(2)   The menace of Stray Dog should be controlled in the city. Many Dog bite cases have been reported in our layout

(3)   BBMP Ward Committee should involve the members of RWA's compulsorily.

(4)   More Parking facilities needs to be provided near all the Metro Stations to avoid parking of vehicles on all the cross roads near Metro Stations. More feeder buses to be provided.

(5)   The menace of street and footpath vendors needs to be addressed in the city. These vendors are to be sent to allotted market places.

(6)   The BBMP play Grounds are being used for commercial purposes. It should be used exclusively  for sports activities without using any sound systems. The sound system is causing sound pollution in the residential localities especially for senior citizens and school going children for their studies.

(7)   We need the rain water to get drained from the ground more efficiently. The rain water structures should be there to recharge the ground water tables and these will help us to use the roads after the rains, people can walk freely on roads. These rainwater structures should be implemented in parks and government offices etc.

(8)  During the formation of Delimitation of Wards, the jurisdiction of a Layout should remain intact in the single BBMP Ward Jurisdiction & not to be divided among several Wards, so that a single cooperator can address the grievances of the public easily.

(9)   The functions of CCTV cameras and its maintenance to be improved in all  residential areas.

10.  A “Balagangadharanatha Swamy Multi-Speciality Hospital” has been built by the BBMP spending about 106 crores of rupees. The Building is ready for occupation from the past 6 to 8 months. But so far neither Doctors nor medical equipments have been provided to this hospital. Immediate action needs to be taken and allowed for the services of the public.

11. The Bangalore City, the earstwhile Garden City has become a concrete city. So to retain the

title more plants are to be planted. Nowadays the owner’s of the houses in layouts are

removing trees infront of their houses in order to park their vehicles.

12. Old trees are to be replaced and pruning of branches of old trees are required regularly.

We hope the above points will be considered to make the Bangalore city

                           “A Brand Bangalore City”

Thanking you,

                                                                                                     Yours sincerely
